- Around the Bend Homestead
Free play is such an overlooked, yet crucial part of a child's development. When children play, they are able to interact with the world around them in explorative and experimental ways. This helps them learn and discover new ways to navigate life. All of which ultimately leads to the formation of new neural pathways and connections in their brains, which creates improved critical thinking skills...now, and all throughout their lives. Our free play classes offer students an opportunity to interact with children of various ages and learn crucial social skills in settings other than academia or a playground. Students will have access to the mud pie station, sandbox, flower & herb gardens for making bouquets, field trails, and be able to feed treats to our animals in the enclosure. We have baby bunnies, dwarf goats, mini dinosaurs (aka chickens) and a peahen and her chicks. We will all have to remain as a group during these classes and parents are welcome to stay or leave.
Events that are rained out will be rescheduled for another day. If you are unable to make it due to personal reasons, we can reschedule your class for another week.
