Nature Pinch Pots
- Around the Bend Homestead
This class is a super fun, creative, and a tactile learning experience for children of all ages. We have collected natural VA clay and will allot each student with enough to make a basic pinch pot. Children can then decorate and texturize it with leaves and flowers they gather from the garden. Please note, we do not have a kiln for these pieces, this is more for the experience of working with clay that came from the soil beneath us. The process of molding clay into the preferred shapes and angles is a meditative activity that connects students with the earth in a primitive, yet creative way. Each student will be given a slab of barn wood for molding on and transporting their creations home to dry in the summer sun.
Events that are rained out will be rescheduled for another day. If you are unable to make it due to personal reasons, we can reschedule your class for another week.
